Summary: "Don't waste your time and money"

Don't make the mistake I did, wasting your time reading this book in the vain hope that the author would eventually reveal something of substance. This guy is a pure hot air salesman, providing nothing but repetitive anecdotes and platitudes.

Summary: "90% good stuff"

This is a more holistic look at Kiyosaki's "Rich Dad Poor Dad" philosophy. I found it to be a great review of his principles. However, I do think that he is lacking a bit on the information he gives about the stock market in general and trading specifically. To the lay person, some of his opinions about the stock market are just flat out dangerous. He does cover himself well legally though. In summary, it was a great book 90% of the time. Enjoy

Summary: "The very best in the family"

I have read first four plus another four books in the RDPD family. I like all of them simply because they all communicate and emphasize the same message - create passive income by using leverages.

But I consider "Retiring Young and Retiring Rich" as the very best among them, because it discusses in detail the internal aspect of making changes, namely mindset, beliefs, values, etc. (Robert K. used the term context/reality).

The ideas within this volume are priceless!!!

Summary: "some good, some bad"

I'm going to go right in the middle with 3 stars

Good:
- my mind has been opened to greater possibilities/contexts (ie i did find it empowering as i like the psychological angle)
- for a financial ignoramous, i still learned a tiny bit (tho i was hoping for more)
- encourages financial literacy

Bad:
- horrible writer (if you're going to sell millions of books, at least make an effort to learn the diff between (or get editors who can) except and accept)
- a bit patronizing
- my understanding from others is that he may be completely wrong and hurtfully misleading to lots of people who don't know better

Summary: "Take charge, own your life!"

This book will open your eyes, make you think but most important motivate you to take charge of your life. There is one particular line that I remember especially, First identify what I am afraid of, then ask myself what I want instead, then ask myself how to get it. Invest in your freedom. Buy this book!
